Ingredients for Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits with Bisquick

Like I said, if you don’t have Bisquick you can easily make your own!

Bisquick-That classic yellow box you know and love makes an appearance in this recipe for the most flaky biscuits you’ll ever eat. We love that Bisquick makes this biscuit recipe basically effortless!

Butter-You’ll want to use cold butter for this recipe to yield the extra flaky and buttery biscuits. The colder the better. You can grate the cold butter with a cheese grater, incorporate it into the mix with a pastry cutter, or just use two butter knives.

Cheddar cheese-What would this recipe be without the cheddar cheese? For the cheesiest biscuits, we recommend grating your own cheddar, but pre-shredded is okay.

Sugar-We use granulated sugar for this recipe, but you can use any sweetener such as maple syrup, honey, etc.

Milk-Dairy milk is used to form the biscuit dough. You can use any type of dairy milk or any plant based milk like oat, hemp, cashew, etc.

Garlic powder-You probably already have this easy pantry ingredient in your kitchen! The garlic powder is what gives this Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuit recipe its flavor.

Parsley-We used dried parsley here, but fresh will work! The parsley is mixed with melted butter to drizzle over the cooked biscuits. Yum!

How to Make Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 400° Fahrenheit.

Combine Bisquick mix (or homemade Bisquick) with cold butter. Using a pastry blender or two butter knives, simply cut the butter into small pieces into the Bisquick mix. There will be bits of butter showing throughout the mix.

With your hands, mix in the cheese, sugar, milk, and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder. Mix everything until combined, but do not over mix the dough as this could affect the biscuits during the cooking process.

Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an un-greased cookie or baking sheet.

Bake for 15-17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits are golden brown. This time will vary on each oven.

In the meantime, combine melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and parsley. Brush the tops of the warmly cooked biscuits with the melted butter herb mix once they come out of the oven.

Serve warm!

Can you freeze Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits?

Of course! Simply freeze these biscuits by transferring them to an airtight storage container or freezer-safe bag. Once you’ve transferred the biscuits to the storage container, freeze the biscuits. They will stay fresh for up to three months.

When you’re ready to reheat, simply reheat them in the oven or warm them up in the microwave. Don’t forget the melted butter!
