Max out Marie’s Social Link
This is the only Social Link that you have to max out in order to see the True Ending. Marie’s Social Link is available from July 24th onwards. Max out Adachi’s Social Link to get more context
Maxing out Adachi’s Social Link is technically not required for the True Ending. However, doing so will give you some additional insight into his character and the events of the game. Adachi’s Social Link is available from November 1st onwards. You can find him at the Junes Diner on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Adachi is a major antagonist in Persona 4 Golden. Pick the right dialog choices on December 3rd
In the pivotal moment when the gang is talking about what to do with Namatame after the disaster involving Nanako and Dojima, make sure to pick these dialog choices, in order:
- “Wait a second here …”
- “We’re missing something.”
- “Namatame’s true feelings.”
- “Something’s bothering me.”
- “We’re missing something …”
- “Calm the hell down!”
Making the wrong dialog choice in this section may result in you getting a bad ending to the game, so make sure to pick these dialog options carefully in order to unlock the Persona 4 Golden True Ending.
Accuse Adachi on the December 5th Investigation Team Meeting
On December 5th, the Investigation Team will gather for a meal to discuss their final deduction on who they think is the true culprit behind the Inaba murders. When prompted, you’ll need to select the true killer, which is Tohru Adachi. Take note that the menu will list your friends and other social links first to throw you off. Select “Someone else” until Adachi’s name finally appears on the suspect list. However, after doing this a new dungeon will pop up that you need to clear before proceeding.
Finish the Hollow Forest Dungeon on February 13th
On February 13th, 2 months after officially accusing Adachi as the main culprit, the team goes on a ski trip. There, they will encounter a new dungeon exclusive to Persona 4 Golden. Unlocking the Persona 4 Golden True Ending requires you to complete this dungeon.
Do not go back home just yet on March 20th
On March 20th, after visiting all your maxed Social Links, do not go back home just yet! Doing so will lock you out of the Persona 4 Golden True Ending. Instead of going home after meeting up with your best friends, select “no.” Instead, go to the Junes Food Court. There a cutscene will play out. After that, head now to the Samegawa Flood Plain and talk to Nanako and Dojima. After that, go to the Central Shipping District and head into the Velvet Room. Speak to Igor and he will grant you a key item.
The Final Step
Go to the gas station in the Inaba Shopping District and talk to the attendant. He is the mysterious guy that talks to you at the very start of the game. Talking to him after all these will trigger the Persona 4 Golden True Ending. Congratulations!
