The Dark Blox Fruit is an Elemental-type Blox Fruit. It costs 
500,000, or 
950 from the Blox Fruit Dealer.
The (old) Dark Fruit is used by the Raid Boss, Darkbeard in the game, the Possessed Mummy NPCs and the Elite Pirate, Diablo (the awakened version).
It is considered as one of the best fruits in PVP when it is awakened (Dark is usually paired with a sword and / or gun) due to its long stuns and teleport move.
One of 4 fruits that have a smoke-like effect in it's physical form, the others being Flame, Venom and Shadow.

Trivia
- Dark Fruit is not good for aerial combat (unawakened), thus Angel race would be an effective counter.
- The Dark raid NPCS have low damage but you have a high chance of death if you get stuck in a Dark user’s black hole move, since it keeps you in place and allows the rest of the Raid NPCs to attack you freely. It is recommended to have a Buddha user.
- To the average eye, there is only one mobility move. However skilled players can take advantage of another potential mobility move, which is the awakened Z move, "Dimensional Slash". In a fight, you can confuse enemies by using Dimensional Slash on an NPC to quickly teleport away.
- Dark X hitbox was nerfed in Update 17.2.
- "Abyssal Darkness" and "Black Hole" can be used in midair though it isn't recommended.
- Dark V2's first move "Dimensional Slash" was inspired by black clover as it is Captain Yami's Dark blade dimension slash
- "Dimensional Slash" is good for bounty hunting as you can teleport yourself to the player you want to kill although it is hard to hit and doesnt break Instinct.
- There was a Dark glitch which doesn’t allow Dark C to hit Buddha users. (This glitch is still not patched for Darkness/Dark User NPCs in the raid)
